I heard some kids talking the other day casually about facebook ads and snapchat ads and it made me feel old. One of them goes “ Facebook is for old people, My parents have facebook, please… I’m on snapchat.” I realized right then and there that there is a whole new generation of kids who look at facebook as the

OLD People platform

So with all the recent bad press around facebook basically selling out our data and profiting from our information, the time for a new platform to advertise on is here. Snapchat ads offer very professional and targeted ads that seems to do a way better job than facebook at converting and enticing people to your content; whereas on FB it seems like people are not getting as much engagement due to the way our brains filter out undesirable content. Maybe because we are presented ads on facebook the same way that our friends and family show up in the timeline?

The youngest generations, in my opinion, is this next target audience. Consumer trends point to popular social media platforms being the center of interactions which in turn can be monetized in a variety of ways, mostly for “sharing” data or adverts for specific selected groups.


Everything that was once new will eventually be looked at as old, so to get too comfortable in one particular platform is really counterproductive in the long run. Testing and monitoring your ad performance and analytics will ensure you are discovering the best particular route to take over a long or short period of time.


The ads on television dont have the power of ads on the mobile phone, and I will tell you why. What would be a limiting factoring to a sales funnel, the proximity of the store?
